Our Story
Ralph, a World War II D-Day veteran, lived a life marked by sacrifice and devotion to God and country. His example shaped his son Ross, who went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force and later his community as a firefighter and police officer. Service was not just what Ross did—it was who he was—and he passed those values on to his children.
Inspired by his Papaw and Dad, Daniel continued the legacy by serving in the U.S. Army. After a medical retirement due to injury, he served six years as a police officer and now serves as a firefighter and paramedic. Through these roles, Daniel witnessed firsthand the unmet needs facing veterans, military, first responders, and their families.
Recognizing those gaps, Daniel and his father, Ross, founded Legacy of Honor with a shared mission to “honor a legacy of service by standing with those who serve and their families to ensure no one is left behind.” That mission was guided by faith and the call of Micah 6:8—to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.
Ross unexpectedly passed away in 2023, but his legacy lives on. Today, Daniel continues forward, striving to lead with the servant leadership Jesus taught in Matthew 20:25–28, honoring the example set by those who came before him.
Legaocy of Honor exists to support the men, women, and families who sacrifice every day to keep our communities safe—ensuring no hero and no family is ever left behind
